Mysterious Baby Elongated Skull Of Lake Titicaca Bolivia…
Though found all over the world, and most prevalent about 2000 years ago, the countries of Peru and Bolivia feature some of the most fascinating elongated skulls which conventional archaeology does not properly address. The one above is from the southern shore of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia.
The infant skull shown above appears to have been a relatively newborn, yet features a distinctly elongated skull. Most academics believe that cranial deformation, which was reasonably common in the Lake Titicaca area some 1000 to 2000 years ago, was the way in which all elongated skulls were formed. This could be an exception...
Another odd thing about this baby skull is that it had 24 teeth, which should not be the case until it is 6 years old! And yet the fontanel, which is where the bones close in the upper part of the forehead, is open, indicating an age of less than 2 years!
This profile shows that the baby's head would appear to be very complex in shape, and no flattening of the back of the skull is apparent, the latter being typical of cranial deformation.
As well, the eye sockets are incredibly shallow. This skull is located in a very small museum owned by Crillon Tours which we use, as they have an excellent hotel and hydrofoil service. We will be returning to the museum in October 2015 in order to take many more photos and video for medical examination.
